Since 1933, when Paulsen's pioneering work Die Münzprägungen der Boier was published, this is the first publication to map in detail the Celtic coinage production in Bohemia in the pre-Oppida period, i.e. from approximately the middle of the 3rd to the second half of the 2nd century BC. All specimens of Celtic coins documented by the author are described in detail in the catalogue and the vast majority are photographed. The publication is provided with exceptionally rich pictorial documentation. All coins are enlarged in the photographs.
The author of the book is a leading expert on Celtic coinage of Central Europe, doc. PhDr. Jiří Militký, Ph.D., DSc., a specialist at the National Museum
