Note
The Chamber was established in Paris by royal decree on 1 January 1767 to facilitate the financing of commercial transactions, particularly those related to the activities of the East India Company. Jean-Louis Rilliet-Huber (1753-1816), from a very old Genevan family, was a partner of Rilliet & Cie in Paris from 1780, and was one of its administrators until June 1789. This medal was awarded to him by the shareholders of the Caisse d'Escompte in recognition of his work. This honour is engraved on the edge: "Donne A M..J.L. RiLLIET PAR LASSEMBLEE GENERALDE DES ACTIONNAIRES DU 15.JANVIER 1789". Extraordinary specimen with mint lustre in the fields!
