    200 Koruna 2023 - Jan Blahoslav

On February 15, 2023, the Czech National Bank is issuing a commemorative silver two-hundred-crown coin for the 500th anniversary of the birth of Jan Blahoslav. The two hundred crown is minted from an alloy containing 925 parts of silver and 75 parts of copper and is issued in two versions, in regular and top (proof), which differ in surface treatment and edge design. For top quality coins, the field of the coin is highly polished and the relief is matte, the edge is smooth with the frieze "ČESKÁ NÁRODNÍ BANKA * Ag 0.925 * 13 g *". Coins of common quality have a scalloped edge. The diameter of the coin is 31 mm, the weight is 13 g and the thickness is 2.2 mm. As with any coinage, these coins are allowed to have a tolerance of 0.1mm in diameter and 0.15mm in thickness. An upward deviation of 0.26 g is allowed in the weight and an upward deviation of 1% in the silver content.

On the obverse side of the two hundred kroner is depicted the composition of the spine and title page of the book Gramatika česká from 1571. The title page is supplemented with a symbolic cross. On the spine of the book is the text "CZECH REPUBLIC ♦ 200 CZK". The mark of the Czech Mint consisting of the letters "Č" and "M" is located at the bottom edge of the coin. The composition of the obverse side is preserved on the reverse side of the two-hundred-crown coin. A portrait of Jan Blahoslav is depicted on the title page, and the text "1523 ♦ JAN BLAHOSLAV ♦ 2023" is on the back of the book. The initials of the author of the coin, Vojtěch Dostál, DiS., which consists of an inverted letter "D", are located at the bottom edge of the coin.
